airs water vapor
This visualization shows 3D volumetric water vapor data from the Aqua/Atmospheric Infrared Sounder (AIRS) instrument on January 1, 2003. Only data from the sea level to about 10 km are shown. Credit: NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center, Scientific Visualization Studio

Data and analysis tools are publicly available for many microwave science instruments. Many of these instruments are able to measure such products as temperature, water vapor, ozone, carbon dioxide, and clouds, just to name a few. Both NASA and NOAA have responsibilities for generating and archiving these data products.

On this site, you will find links to various data sets for AIRS, AMSU, and HAMSR. When available, documentation and tools to assist researchers will also be linked to this site. Additionally, documentation on algorithms and simulations can also be found here.
